At Harrogate Nova, we believe in nurturing talent from the grassroots up. Our Junior Pathway is designed to take riders on a clear, supported journey from local club level all the way to the professional ranks. Young cyclists can grow within a club environment that values development, camaraderie, and fun. As riders progress, they may be invited to join the Harrogate Nova Race Team - a dedicated junior squad competing in national and international events, including British Junior Nationals and elite UCI 2.1 stage races across Europe.

We provide structured coaching, physiological testing, and one-to-one mentorship to help each rider unlock their full potential. With the backing of world-class sponsors, expert support, and strong connections to professional development teams, Nova offers a genuine springboard to a career in cycling.

Meet Our Junior Racers

  • Harry Hudson

    Harry is a second-year junior from Bamford and a pure climber with a punchy, aggressive style. Starting in cyclocross & hill climbs, he quickly found his place in road racing. Since joining Nova as a first-year U19, he’s delivered standout performances across national & European races.

  • Magnus Denwood

    Magnus is a second-year junior from Harrogate who’s been racing since he was six. A true all-rounder, he came up through the Nova system with a background in MTB, cyclocross, and road racing. Now riding an S-Works SL8, he brings a mix of speed, skill, and grit to every race.

  • Isaac Oliver

    Isaac is a second-year junior and a natural climber with a strong background in both road and cyclocross. Originally a runner, he switched to cycling five years ago and hasn’t looked back. Now riding for Harrogate Nova, he thrives on steep climbs and technical courses.

  • Oscar Saxton

    Oscar is a second-year junior and an all-rounder with a strong engine and attacking style. Inspired by his dad, he started cycling at 11 and quickly took to racing. Now riding a Specialized Tarmac SL7 with Harrogate Nova, he thrives in breakaways and brings energy and teamwork to every race.

  • Daniel James Thompson

    Daniel is a second-year junior with a background in track and breakaway racing. He has earning national and international podiums, and a place on British Cycling’s Olympic Development Squad. Sponsored by Bikescene, Specialized Guisbrough, The Chair, and Eastporting Champions.

  • Dexter Townsend

    Dexter is a first-year junior with a fearless, all-in racing style. After growing up riding downhill MTB, BMX, and triathlon, he committed fully to road cycling last year. Now racing for Nova on his Giant Propel and Cervélo P5, Dexter shines in time trials and climbs.

We’re on the lookout for our 2026 riders

Harrogate Nova is now scouting for talented, committed junior riders to join our team for the 2026 season. If you're aiming to compete at the sharp end of national races, push your limits in UCI events across Europe, and develop within a high-performance, rider-first environment - this is your opportunity.

We’re looking for juniors who can already prove, or have the potential to finish, in the top 10 at British National races. More importantly, we’re looking for riders with the attitude, drive, and dedication to go further.
